SPRINGTIME

Amidst the buzz surrounding the March partial eclipse and the April 8th total eclipse of the Sun, it almost slipped my mind that spring has arrived.
Spring is one of my favorite seasons due to its longer days and the delightful sight of early daffodils and crocus timidly emerging through the last remnants of stubborn snow. Witnessing the first blooms signals the promise of warmer days and the victorious return of the Sun, ushering in the vibrant resurgence of life in nature. Even the April rains fail to dampen my spirits.
Spring also reminds me that my birthday is fast approaching. I committed to self-care, self-love, and new beginnings to mimic nature’s way a few years ago. I further enjoy a renewed zest for life around my birthday and cultivate it by tracking on a long trip away from home in some corner of the world. Recalling my memorable trip to Venice, Italy, last year brings back feelings of gratitude, wonder, and awe. Despite a brief encounter with a hotel manager who could not comprehend that I preferred my company to his, Venice provided me with a peaceful solo exploration of its enchanting streets and canals.
This spring will be a little different, and the beginning of new ventures will keep me close to home. Besides a short trip to Charleston, SC, my focus will be on a new project. I am excited to announce the launch of an enterprise that harnesses my passion for creating joy and inner peace. This endeavor aims to share these mindsets with my followers and others who relish celebrating life with the enjoyment of simple pleasures. Therefore, in June, I will launch my line of scented candles in an online store attached to this website. I have been enjoying the process, creating scents reminiscent of my most joyful moments or bringing me back to the inner feelings during epiphany and breakthrough, what Oprah so creatively calls her A Ah moments.
That helps to explain, in part, my silence during these past weeks. My creative juices flow, mainly regarding scents, labels, packaging creations, and new business mounting. There is so much joy and learning in the process. The most amazing part is the encounter with so many synchronicities showing up along the way. And I am reminded, once again, that the Journey is the Destination.
In my quest for balance in 2024, I’ve discovered that prioritizing self-care and self-love is vital in transcending emotions and realizing our purpose and destiny. Loving ourselves is all that is required. Life’s purpose lies in accepting our worth and showering ourselves with love. Embracing self-love through introspection allows us to harmonize with the universe, leading to more synchronicities and a more profound sense of flow.
